Dear Teachers,
And just like that, it is December! I recognize that this year has brought many challenges, with increased testing, more difficult behaviors, larger class sizes, and a shortage of substitute teachers. You are being asked to do more than seems possible. Please know that most Albertans see your efforts and support a brighter future for education. Your commitment and dedication to your students are truly commendable and impressive. Every lesson you teach, every challenge you help students overcome, and the countless hours you invest in their growth do not go unnoticed. We continue to advocate for your wellbeing and improved working conditions.
As we enter this blessed season of Advent and Christmas, may you find peace and joy in the birth of our Savior. May the light of Christ fill your hearts and homes, bringing you comfort and hope. As this season brings a well-deserved break, I hope you find time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the company of loved ones.
