ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Edmonton Catholic Teachers’ Local #54 of the Alberta Teachers’ Association
Part-Time 0.8 FTE (28 hours/week)
Reporting to the President and the Executive Officer of Edmonton Catholic Teachers Local #54 of the Alberta Teachers’ Association, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the team with administration support to maintain effective and efficient organizational processes. The position is responsible for day-to-day clerical and administrative support as well as planning and communicating to internal teams and external stakeholders. As a key point of reference for administrative queries, requests, or issues, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Work collaboratively with the President and the Executive Officer
- Manage daily/weekly/monthly agendas and tasks, and arrange meetings and PD sessions as applicable
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes as required
- Website management
- Maintain contact lists for internal committees
- Formatting of reports and documents
- Answer phone calls/emails and redirecting as appropriate
- Document expenses and code appropriately
- Prepare and disseminate correspondence
- Data entry, scanning and filing of documents
- Planning events, ordering, receiving and stocking supplies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years administrative experience. Experience in an educational setting would be considered an asset. Candidates for the above position must have:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and optimize workflow
- Fluency in all Microsoft applications including Excel
- High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism with positive team attitude
- Experience with other programs and applications including Zoom and Adobe

SALARY: $52,000 per year
BENEFITS:
- Full Benefit package including pension and HSA
SCHEDULE:
- Fixed Term Contract
- Monday to Friday, September 1 – June 30 annually with summers off (unpaid)
- The successful candidate must commit to working until 7pm two Tuesdays per month
